Johnny Mathis is stepping away from live shows.

On Wednesday (March 26), Johnny Mathis declared his retirement from performing through a Facebook announcement. The message stated that all performances planned following June 2025 would be scrapped since his last concert is set for May 18 at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, New Jersey. As noted in the statement, “Many of you might know that Johnny Mathis is turning 90 later this year.” Therefore, owing to both his advanced years and increasing memory problems, they decided to announce his farewell from touring and live music engagements with genuine sorrow.
