It has been alleged that Vladimir Putin has imposed overly stringent conditions which might impede the peace discussions in Ukraine, as new rounds of dialogue commenced between the U.S. and Russia on Tuesday.

The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has accepted a cease-fire plan lasting 30 days, which will now have to be put forward to Moscow for consent, as stated by Donald Trump.

Nevertheless, this provisional ceasefire aims to facilitate a lasting peace accord; however, Putin’s stringent conditions have complicated the negotiation process, as reported by several Western officials mentioned in Bloomberg UK.

The leader of Russia has declined to hand back the areas taken over during the three-year war and has likewise turned down the idea of placing peacekeeping troops at the boundary between Ukraine and Russia.

Authorities think Putin is intentionally proposing extremely harsh and impractical conditions that Ukraine would be unable to agree to.
