announced
.
This guide is intended for use and discussion within schools and universities across the nation. The ministry stated, “We urge those involved in educational research to disseminate this guide widely among students, their families, and educators.”
Simultaneously, educational initiatives will be conducted on TikTok as part of an upcoming collaboration with the platform. These efforts aim to advance scientific knowledge and counteract pseudoscientific beliefs by developing secure, manageable, and engaging learning environments on TikTok for children (either independently or alongside their parents and educators) and adults alike.
Following initial talks conducted in February with Roxana Mînzatu, who serves as the Commissioner for Social Rights and Skills, Education Minister Daniel David showed enthusiasm about proposing two initiatives at the EU level. These aims to increase visibility for education and science on social media platforms and ensure that current professions are accurately portrayed to Europeans.
With profound sorrow, I observe an abundance of talented Romanian youth and elders in our public sphere who are ensnared by the manipulative forces of pseudoscience and pseudo-religion. This has led to displays of aggression and actions unbecoming of humans,” stated the minister. “I would be delighted if educational opportunities could empower these individuals to harness their abilities for altruistic purposes.
