The Red Devils could play against the King Power heroes without their top goalkeeper, Andre Onana.
-
Earlier today, Onana received an injury concern, and he is currently waiting for the outcome of a subsequent fitness assessment to see if he will be fit enough to participate in the match against Leicester City.

If Onana is deemed unavailable due to fitness concerns, United might have to rely on their academy goalkeepers for today’s match against Leicester City.
Manchester United are poised to face Leicester City tonight in an exciting English Premier League encounter at King Power Stadium.
André Onana, the reliable goalkeeper, may not be fit for the upcoming Premier League match against Leicester City. His participation will depend on the outcome of a final health assessment closer to the game time.
Since Onana was not feeling well earlier today, the Red Devils have put contingency measures in place. Academy goalkeepers Dermot Mee or Elyh Harrison could be called upon to step in should the Cameroonian goalkeeper be deemed unfit for the 7 pm match start.
Onana stays optimistic about participating in the game, as the delayed start provides him extra time to recuperate and potentially earn a spot in the lineup.
United’s growing goalkeeping concerns
As reported by Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils continue to grapple with goalkeeper issues, as both Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton remain sidelined following their injuries in early February.
The 22-year-old Mee hasn’t played in a senior game since his time at National League’s Altrincham two seasons back, with his most recent appearance being in September 2022.
In contrast, the 19-year-old Harrison played in 18 games during his time on loan at Chester FC earlier this season prior to coming back to Old Trafford.
Onana’s presence in United team appearances
After transferring from Inter Milan to Manchester United in July 2023, Onana has played in every one of their 66 Premier League games so far, not having missed any match because of an injury.
Responses to Onana’s Injury Concern
The uncertainty surrounding Onana’s fitness before United’s important Premier League match against Leicester City has led to varied responses from supporters.
Several fans have voiced worries about the possible absence of the goalkeeper, considering how consistent he has been and how he has always been present since moving from Inter Milan last July.

No club should overlook Onana, until he is the sole goalkeeper available.

Allow yourself enough time to heal, Onana. A six-month recuperation period is quite reasonable for complete healing.
