In recent years, the food and beverage sector has seen significant growth from items that offer a flavor profile reminiscent of something else entirely.
Consider the rise in popularity of plant-based meat as an instance.

Beyond Meat, Impossible, and several other new players have made waves in the grocery stores and restaurants, providing vegetarians, vegans, health-focused consumers, and adventurous foodies with the chance to enjoy a meat-like experience without actually consuming meat.
Many of these items are crafted using an assortment of plant-derived ingredients such as beans, coconut oil, and peas. Achieving the texture, flavor, aroma, and visual resemblance to traditional ground beef found in burgers requires significant scientific effort; however, almost all supermarkets and quick-service eateries now carry this product.
alternative beverages are rapidly increasing in popularity
Likewise, beverages that have a soda-like flavor but are perceived as a healthier choice are also becoming increasingly popular.
Functionality-focused drinks, which provide advantages beyond mere pleasure—such as enhancing moods, boosting immunity, or aiding digestion—are commonly found lining the shelves of numerous grocery and health food shops.

A lot of these beverages are fizzy and have a flavor similar to well-known sodas, yet they usually have lower sugar content.
For instance, Olipop’sClassic Root Beer flavor includes only six grams of added sugar, whereas a regular can of root beer typically contains around 40 grams.
Spindrift joins the frenzy.
Now, Spindrift, the independent beverage company that made waves by adding actual fruit juice to sparkling water, is introducing its very own line of sodas.
The beverages are named Spindrift SODA and will feature the following tastes:
- Concord Freeze
- Ginger Ale
- Orange Cream Float
- Shirley Temple
- Strawberry Shortcake
“Amidst a market filled with sodas packed with excessive additives and complex sweetening agents, Spindrift SODA distinguishes itself as a straightforward, contemporary beverage that’s good for you without including extra elements such as added sugars, stevia, or prebiotics,” according to Spindrift.
Bill Creeman, the founder, states that each can of Orange Cream Float includes the juice extracted from three-quarters of an orange.
Each variety includes 20% fresh-squeezed juice which provides exceptional taste and sweetness, establishing a new benchmark for what makes a nutritious soda truly great.
The beverages will be available on store shelves, as well as through its website and Amazon, later this year.
